Caramel Apple Snickers Salad

I'm never really sure if those pudding and Cool Whip salads are actually a side dish or a dessert? I've seen them served both ways? Why can't more foods be dually classified? This Caramel Apple Snickers Salad would make a great side dish or an easy dessert idea in my opinion. Either way, it's delicious! :)

4-5 medium size apples, cored and chopped
